Dan Highland has been a resident of Bloomington-Normal since 1978.  After 19 years of service at the Town of Normal Parks and Recreation Department, he became the Director of the Bloomington Normal Area Convention and Visitors Bureau in 1999 and truly began “Selling Bloomington Normal”.  Dan is sold on Bloomington-Normal and has been played a role in the development of a number of great Twin City “quality of life improvements” like Ironwood Golf Course, the Fairview Family Aquatic Center, the Normal Theater, Champion Fields and the US Cellular Coliseum.  He has sold Bloomington-Normal to the Illinois High School Association, the International Mennonite Conference, Bloomington Gold Corvettes, Inc and many other international associations or companies for their business meetings.
